What You'll Do

  • Grow the student-athlete community — help onboard new members, organized by tier (high school, college, and professional athletes still in school), sport, and location.
  • Listen to student athletes and turn what you hear into real resources — case studies, prompts, and events that meet them where they are.
  • Support the Student Athletes & Mental Health series, including the three-tier (High School / College / Professional) funnel and case study modules.
  • Plan and host virtual community meetups, peer circles, and conversations with UH leadership.
  • Connect the community to the Titan of Life story, The Thirteen Tools course, and the broader mission of purpose and service.
  • Work directly with the leadership team on strategy, outreach, and partnerships with athletic departments and schools.

Who You Are

  • A current or former student athlete (high school, college, or professional) who understands the athlete experience firsthand.
  • Passionate about mental health, belonging, and the role athletics plays in overall health.
  • A clear, kind communicator who can talk to athletes, parents, coaches, and leadership with equal respect.
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely with a small leadership team.
  • Aligned with the four Hamilton Center pillars — Professional, Respectful, Fair, and of Service.

What You'll Gain

  • Direct mentorship from the UH Center leadership team, including the Office of the Provost.
  • Real ownership of a national community initiative — not busywork.
  • Experience in community building, mental health programming, and nonprofit leadership.
  • A professional reference and a portfolio of work you can show.
  • A head start on a career that serves people — and a network of student athletes nationwide.
